Definition of Celebrity

Am i alone in my opinion that the word celebrity is almost as over and incorrectly used as ICON these days  and that all you have to do to be called a celebrity these days is appear in front of a camera in a pair of Jimmy Choos, oh and whilst we are on the subject of shoes was I the only female that didn't know that the bottoms of these very expensive shoes are always red its "the thing"

sorry i got distracted for a moment,  anyway do you agreed that celebrity and icon are wrongly and over used!! say I
